6 changes we have made to keep our staff and customers safe
Regular staff health checks
Staff will be monitored with daily temperature checks and very clear guidelines regarding their responsibilities for reporting of any symptoms.
We are changing the way we run each of our experiences and until further notice every experience will be private to your group. All communal areas will have government recommended distance markings to ensure the safety.
Enhanced hygiene measures
As always, we will ensure that our cleaning is to a high standard however we will be introducing more stringent measures with regards to the experience activities. Therefore, after each group leaves an area the activity equipment and room will be thoroughly cleaned down ready for the next group. All staff will complete a training on Covid-19 prior to returning to work, this training will include, hand washing refresher, cleaning down equipment refresher, the introduction of Covid-19 PPE and our new Covid-19 company policy regarding customer safety and social distancing. We will be providing hand sanitiser stations which will be located around the building including entry and exit points. Staff and guests will be encouraged to use these throughout their experience.
All staff will be issued with facemasks and gloves to keep themselves and customers safe. These items will also be available for purchase on reception for customers.
Restricted numbers and advanced booking
Our Phased opening approach will see individual group bookings only on each experience meaning your group will never be put on an experience with any other customer groups. Our booking system will be altered to ensure that our check in times for each experience will be personal to each customer group in order to help the staff manage the companies social distancing policy and keep our customers safe at all times. All bookings must be pre booked and until further notice the company will not accept any walk-in bookings, this will ensure the safety of all our customers in the reception area and support our staff to continue to uphold our social distancing policy. In England, from Monday, the UK Government are introducing the rule of 6. This means that nobody should meet socially in groups of more than 6. If you do, you will be breaking the law. There will be some exemptions, for example, if a single household or support bubble is larger than 6 then they can still gather but we strongly recommend that you check the government website for updates before visiting Phileas Foggs World of Adventures in larger groups than 6, to find out whether or not you are breaking the law by doing so.
Closure of Jack the Ripper and reform bar
Unfortunately, due to the design and structure of the Jack the Ripper Experience and Reform bar these areas of the centre will be closed to the public until further notice. However, refreshments and snacks will be available to purchase from our ground floor reception area.
